We are seeking BE/BC Emergency Medicine APPs for a full-time employed position to join our group in Wilmington, NC community. We are a leading EM group with 35 years of excellence in Wilmington, North Carolina, dedicated to providing exceptional patient care and community support. Our state-of-the-art Emergency Department is staffed by a team of highly skilled healthcare professionals who work tirelessly to serve our patients’ needs. Key Responsibilities:
Patient Assessment: Conduct thorough initial assessments and triage patients based on the severity of their condition, ensuring timely and appropriate care.
Medical Treatment: Administer treatment and provide medical interventions for a wide range of emergency medical conditions, including trauma, cardiac events, respiratory distress, and more.
Diagnostic Procedures: Perform and interpret diagnostic procedures such as X-rays, EKGs, and laboratory tests to aid in diagnosis and treatment planning.
Medication Management: Administer medications, including intravenous, oral, and intramuscular medications, as prescribed by the attending physician.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, assessments, interventions, and discharge instructions.
Collaborative Care: Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Patient Education: Provide patients and their families with clear and empathetic explanations of diagnoses, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Emergency Procedures: Assist in emergency procedures, including intubation, CPR, and other life-saving interventions as needed.
Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and facility policies to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Qualifications:
- Current North Carolina Physician Assistant license and certification.
- Previous experience in emergency medicine or a related field is preferred.
- Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- ACLS and PALS certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Key Responsibilities:
Patient Care: Provide timely and expert medical assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients presenting with acute illnesses, injuries, and emergencies.
Emergency Procedures: Perform and supervise emergency procedures, including intubation, central line placement, and trauma resuscitation, as needed.
Collaborative Care: Collaborate with nurses, physician assistants, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the delivery of comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
Clinical Leadership: Provide clinical leadership and support to the healthcare team, including medical residents and students, to promote a culture of learning and continuous improvement.
Documentation: Maintain accurate and detailed medical records, including patient histories, assessments, treatment plans, and discharge instructions.
Patient Education: Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing clear explanations of diagnoses, treatment options, and follow-up care.
Quality Improvement: Actively participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes, streamline processes, and optimize patient satisfaction.
Emergency Department Operations: Collaborate with the ED leadership team to ensure efficient operations, including managing patient flow, triage, and resource utilization.
Compliance: Adhere to all relevant laws, regulations, and hospital policies to ensure compliance and patient safety.
Qualifications:
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical school.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Active medical license in the state of [State].
- Current ACLS, PALS, and BLS certifications.
- Strong clinical skills and experience in emergency medicine.
