Dr. Ward received an AB degree in Chemistry and his MD degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in Chapel Hill, NC.  Dr. Ward completed his residency at the University of Colorado School of Medicine in Denver, Colorado.  

Dr. Ward board certified in Emergency Medicine and has been a practicing physician with Eastern Carolina Emergency Physicians since 1997, and his primary practice location is Cape Fear Hospital, here in Wilmington.

Being a native of Florida, Dr. Ward's hobbies, as one would expect, include swimming, boating, tennis, and reading.
