Dr. Boring received his BS degree in Microbiology from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, a Master's Degree in physiology from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, and his MD degree from St. George’s Medical School in Grenada, West Indies. He completed his Emergency Medicine residency through Penn State College of Medicine/Milton S. Hershey Medical Center, in Hershey, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Boring joined Eastern Carolina Emergency Physicians in July 2007, and his primary practice location is at New Hanover Regional Medical Center here in Wilmington.

In his spare time Dr. Boring enjoys fishing, diving, hiking/camping, weightlifting, jogging, skiing, travel, philosophy, and dive medicine.
